Swimming Fun and Water Activities
The Schlitters bathing lake is the perfect spot on hot summer days – crystal-clear water, sunbathing lawns and a beach volleyball court. For the adventurous, the Zillergrund reservoir offers stand-up paddling and kayak tours amid stunning mountain scenery. The Mayrhofen adventure pool with slides and wave pool is especially popular with families.
Mountain Adventures
The Arena Coaster summer toboggan in Zell am Ziller delivers speed and fun – 1,450 metres of track with banked curves and jumps. At the Gerlos high ropes course, you climb up to 15 metres high between the treetops. And for the ultimate adrenaline rush, try paragliding over the Zillertal – tandem flights are offered in Mayrhofen and Fügen.
Cultural Excursions
A visit to the Zillertal Bier Brewery in Zell am Ziller is worthwhile not just for beer lovers – the guided tour offers insights into over 500 years of brewing tradition. The Gold Mine in Zell am Ziller takes you back to the history of gold mining, and the show dairy demonstrates traditional alpine cheese production.
